Magnavox Stereograph Deluxe
This is model 2-SCS239, I believe from late 1963 to
early 1964.
Looking at the catalogs, there were different iterations of
the basic cabinet and changer.
This unit has left channel with an 8 inch oval speaker,
and the right channel with a 5 1/2 inch speaker.
Earlier versions had nice dual 8 inch coax speakers.
One had a woofer and tweeter for each channel.
I feel a little cheated out of those other speakers !
I've pulled the Micromatic and cleaned up the cabinet.
It came out pretty nice.
The engineers made the under cabinet access hole a bit too
far away from the Micromatic shipping bolt clip.
I spent an hour until I could get the clip flipped vertical
to remove the changer.
The transistor amp is on the right side of the cabinet.
When I received the Stereograph, I turned it on and the
amp was working and QUIET !
The original cartridge appeard to have output from
both channels, also good.
We have rain mid-week, so I'll start the dis-assembly
of the changer for cleaning during that time.

It appears to be in nice shape... different size speakers ? woofer on one side and midrange on the other?

My little Philco console has a 5X7 on one side and a 6" on the other with tweeters for both sides. It is a nice little console and sounds pretty good for what it is. VM changer, and single ended 6AQ5's.

Re: Magnavox Stereograph Deluxe
1. So, I ran into an "interesting" (not what I really said) problem
with the W604 record changer in the Stereograph Deluxe.
After sevicing the changer, on testing, the tonearm
returned to a position to the left of the tonearm rest
post, and dropped onto the changer base.
Nothing in the factory media about an adjustment.
I searched postings in several other forums, nada.
I had a "parts" Micromatic W604 fortunately whose
sub-plate/tonearm assembly was oriented properly
over its tonearm rest post.
So, I pulled that sub-plate to replace the original
in the Stereograph.
It works just as it should now.
2. I got to thinking that I could experiment with
determining what, if any, adjustment could be
made with the problem sub-plate/tonearm assembly.
During all this, I had looked at the two hex-head bolts
(#65-2 in the manual) that tied-down the tonearm
clutch assembly.
I slightly loosened the two bolts, and was able to
slightly move the tonearm pivot tube and nut
assembly counter-clockwise.
I re-tightened the two hex bolts down.
When I put the tonearm back on, it was
positioned to the right of the rest post.
So, at a later time, I'll tweak it again, to get
the tonearm position correct.
Then to check that the tonearm picks up properly at the
end of record lead out groove.

Interesting, and a good experiment that actually turned out well. Now all I need to do is remember what you did if I ever run into that situation. Thanks for sharing, Mr. Mogul.

Re: Magnavox Stereograph Deluxe
Today I placed the Micromatic back into the cabinet.
The little stereo gal sounds pretty darn good.
I did not expect it, but there is to me, very good stereo separation.
I was even able to flip down the retaining clips on the
shipping bolts (not easy btw, ha ha !).
