Re: Motorola SK74
That was one of their better units without having a Drexel cabinet and should be a good performer. Nice score, Brett.

Re: Motorola SK74
Thanks it's the same as this with a 15"

The cabinet seems lighter than their standard walnut. Part number is MA not W or WA.

Re: Motorola SK74
Since I do not see the aux amp for the reverb, I am guessing it is built into the main amp somehow? Is this a keeper or a flipper?

Re: Motorola SK74
Probably keep it and sell something to make room.
Here's the reverb section of the schematic. The tank connects to the pre-amp...which has 2 more 12AX7's on it.

That console is one of the first to use 6V6 output tubes for all 3 channels. 62-63-64 models only

Re: Motorola SK74
That looks to be in amazing shape! I like the style more than a, local to me, Motorola with a Drexel cab. Congrats.

Re: Motorola SK74
Brett, I think it is cool that you have the original sales receipt. It is interesting how Motorola had two different ways to power up their reverb unit. My KS-52 has a separate amp and speakers for it and yours has it built into the main system using the main speakers. There are other differences as well in the circuit design and the tubes they used. It makes one wonder if the changes were improvements, or the bean counters had their say in the designs or maybe both. Anyway, nice find and I am glad you decided to keep it.
