Occasionally I get out a Trans-Oceanic and see what's on SW. Sometimes I happen on "Cruisin' the Decades," a popular music show that does what it says--plays pop music from each decade of recorded music. It's interesting to hear such variety. Earlier I found a jazz show but the eventual announcement was in a language I did not understand. It reminded me of an unsung hero, Willis Conover, who broadcast American jazz to the world on the Voice of America for 40 years after 1955 and symbolized freedom to many listeners around the world.
Here's the T-O that's up tonight, on the shore of Saginaw Bay. Outside, we've got a big NE blow bringing waves all the way from Canada.
