1950's AMC Blonde Tabletop

Discussions about instruments in smaller cabinets. If they don't set on the floor, they belong here. Tube and solid state, stereo and mono.

1. The RCA jack is factory soldered onto Pins 1 & 2 of
the phono input plug as you see in the schematic.

2. The record changer has an RCA male end cord wired to
the cartridge tonearm wiring.
That cord goes into the female jack soldered onto
Pins 1 & 2.

See the photo I posted earlier of the amp and controls.

3. Measurements to be done.

The observation I was trying to make was this. The bracket with two holes that has the yellow cord plugged into it in the second picture appears to not be attached to anything in that picture. My point was that if that bracket with the two holes in it was not grounded, if you were running it dangling by the wires for testing purposes, the non-grounded RCA jack on the bracket may be introducing the motorboating. Sorry I didn't make myself more clear..... :(
A good leader is someone who can tell you where to go, and make you look forward to the trip.

Never allow someone who has done nothing to advise you on anything.
