I collect Magnavox stereos, GE cheap stereos, and am currently going thru an old RCA TV. There is a topic on it under Televisions. Enjoy the forum!!

Good to have you here, Scott.

I see you have an RCA PS-16 (or similar) console.

A friend has one with a fried power transformer.
The 3 channel amp looks really nice in it.

Can you tell us how yours sounds ?

Love those round speakers! I had a 6HF1 that never seemed right. Those Orthophonic units had a great look.

Welcome aboard

Welcome, Scott, and thank you for joining our little forum. I really like your RCA with the satellite speakers. I have a three channel RCA with what I think is the same amp just a different cabinet. My cabinet has swing out speakers and is model number VCR-45. Also looking forward to seeing your other toys and hearing about your projects. Again, welcome aboard.

Hello and thank you!

I just had the record changer serviced because the cartridge neede to be replaced and all rubber grommets needed replacing and idler wheel, lubricate certain parts and It now runs /cycles perfect.
The amplifier works well for a while. The 2 satelite speakers work well but I am having an issue with the center channel in the main console, it will play loud then fade to very low volume after about 15 minuteas of play.
I have replaced with all new tubes (13) of them.
I am next in line to get it serviced by my audio repair guy.

I just looked at all of your goodies and thank you so much for sharing. I am jealous, your RCA model RF-13 table radio is awesome and I believe rare. I only know of one other person that has one and from what he tells me it really performs well. So, from seeing all of your toys, you are an RCA man. The guy with the RF-13 has everything RCA including duplicates of the same thing just in different cabinets or finishes. Thanks again for sharing and please keep us posted on your progress with all of your toys.

Thanks for sharing your awesome RCA collection! Scott, you might check out our temporary Gallery on the forum between "Console Tales" and the "Fisher" boards. You could post your pictures there which is what it is there for. We have a new Gallery extension in production as we speak, but are using this method in the mean time. Check out some of the pictures we have posted there as well.

I just looked at your photos again and noticed and RCA something sitting on the floor in the photo with the RCA PD-24. Is that the PD-24 other channel speaker? That is an RCA model I have never heard of, so I am guessing it is kind of rare?

Thank you, Scott, you have a very impressive collection. If I might ask, what made you decide to collect RCA?

Welcome Scott, Thanks for sharing some RCA models I have not yet seen. Th PS16 and those twin cabinets are very interesting, a darker version of a similar cabinet Zenith used.

Collecting RCA Victor among all others to compare and then sell off, I like a reminder of how good and easy a repair/restoration can be. Having been a TV bench tech in the 80's and lifelong collector of radios, I have seen some easy and some difficult RCA products, no two really alike and some almost as tricky as a Zenith, Fisher, etc.

ALSO - FB marketplace and CL : I seem to stumble across some similar models locally that were sold in the company store at the RCA plant in Lancaster. Asking price almost always less than $60 too, everyone seems to have forgotten how great they do sound. I offer some observations about the models I have had my hands in on another post in RCA.

Growing up my parents had RCA consoles and TV's in the home, so I though that I would carry on the tradition and get my own.

Very good and an excellent tradition to carry on. Are any of the models you now have the same models that your parents had?
