Where is everybody?
I know we have at least one member on vacation. And we are having technical issues which I hope are not keeping members from posting. I hope you are all well and realize this is a busy time for everyone......

Re: Where is everybody?
I supposed everybody is doing whatever except being on the forum. I hope you are all well and will stop by for a visit when you can spare a minute.

Re: Where is everybody?
I noticed a lack of participation yesterday and wondered if others were having login problems as I am. The site refuses to remember me so I have to type in the username and password each time. Passwords are my nemesis... especially with my old computer, whose keyboard letters have abraded off from my heavy-handed typing style.

Re: Where is everybody?
When you log on, try clicking on "remember me" before you enter your password and username. I have to do that with my phone occasionally. The problem is that when you hit "submit" it happens so fast that sometimes the "remember me" part does not transfer if you click it last. I have been watching membership logs and most all of the regulars have logged on, they haven't posted. Many are doing other activities rather than working at their electronics bench.

Re: Where is everybody?
I've been doing "remember me" regularly without effect (forgot it just now). I even went into user control panel and re-set my colorpreference, just to see if that jogged it. No luck.

Have you been trying to click on "remember me" BEFORE you enter your username and password?
The issue is your browser. Your browser is the tuner that receives the station (forum). If the tuner is out of alignment, it may not receive the station. If the issue was with the station (forum) everyone receiving that station would have the same trouble. I don't know whether you are using a PC or a smaller device, but you need to clear the cookies and cache in the browser on every device you use to access the forum, and also clear the cookies on the forum, It may take more than one time doing this to get everything working right. I had to clear the cache on this computer three times. This procedure needs to be done thoroughly and completely. We are dealing with computers, they can sometimes have minds of their own. I know you have done this once, which was the correct thing to do. You may need to do it again. Then restart your computer.

Going thru a lot of difficult decisions/personal stuff.
Tried logging in yesterday and couldn’t. That was with a desktop using Edge as the Internet browser.
I’m on today via my iPhone (which is not my preferred method).

Re: Where is everybody?
I'm glad you made it, Doc! Clear cookies and cache. The guys are getting tired of hearing about it. I use Edge as well and had to clear the cache on my browser three times to get everything right. Edge is easy to do. I had never cleared the cache on a browser in my life until about three weeks ago. I was shocked at how better my computer behaved after I did that.

I'm fine, just busier than a fundraiser at a homeless convention.

Consider yourselves lucky. This is my prep day for tomorrow's colonoscopy. I deserve some sympathy....

Nobody will be able to tell you that you're full of it for at least one evening.......
Are you doing pills or the liquid?

Liquid. Four liters of it.... Started the second dose at 4:30 a.m. Trying to remember that this is good for me.

Re: Where is everybody?
The event itself is easy. You show up and get in one of those gowns that shows off your butt. They poke an IV into your arm. You go into the procedure room and lie down and they hook you up to oxygen and make small talk for about 30 seconds until --ZAP-- you are out. Then you wake up. It's the day before that annoys. No food. At some point you have to drink a gallon (OK, 4 liters) of a mildly nasty liquid that makes you squirt profusely from the other end. So you're hungry and can't eat, getting tired of the approved "clear liquid diet" drinks that you can have, and making runs for the bathroom frequently. I had to get up at 4:30 a.m. to drink the final 2 liters of the squirt-inducing liquid (polyethylene glycol). Yeah, it's related to antifreeze. Starving, squirting, and sleepy. Not exactly my favorite constellation of experiences.
I also got the scope down from the top while they were at it, having had some reflux symptoms. It was a two-fer on the anesthetic, which is just fine with me. Now I have a set of photos of my innards from top down and bottom up. And no polyps found, yay!

Re: Where is everybody?
I had the pills last time. They are worse than the liquid, trust me. You have to swallow a dozen horse pills. I had to chew them up. They taste absolutely horrid. They give the same results. I got scoped from both ends as well. I am a throat cancer survivor, so they keep an eye on the upper end as well. I only have to take one more colonoscopy after I turn 75. I reckon they figure if we aren't dead from colon cancer by the time we turn 75, the odds are we likely will die from something, but it won't be colon cancer. Glad to hear yours came out okay....

Re: Where is everybody?
For my last colonoscopy the pharmacist that gave me the stuff to drink said get it as cold as you can and keep it cold until you finish the bottle. That actually helped a lot, it did not taste quite so bad and went down much easier.
