One Electron

Another treasure trove of products for sale and lots of archived
electronics information, catalogs, manufacturer data, et cetera.

I've been on this site before, but I failed to bookmark it.
Ran across it today, looking for vintage Sarkes Tarzian rectifier
product information.

Thanks for posting, I liked the 1948 article on FM stations in US then. You will recognize some as legacy AM stations that simulcast on FM.

You sent me back down the rabbit hole with that comment. Eventually I reached the 1948 list. It's interesting--the town I grew up in, Bay City, shows an FM station for the local AM broadcaster but it did not actually show up until later. I recall my uncle, a ham radio operator, visiting and bringing a basic Packard-Bell tuner, saying to my Dad, "Here, you can listen to that new FM station." That was about 1960, I'm guessing.

The tuner is basic--a two-gang tuning cap and a bunch of IF or limiting transformers. It ought to work better than it does. I've still got it.
