Last summer my 12 Dodge Ram front calipers would randomly freeze up ( it has over 120k on it) so I changed them both out to prevent any more problems ... while I was at it I purchased rear brake pads to install... fast forward to 2 days ago ... backing out of the driveway I felt a little clunk, got to the stop sign , and brake pedal went to the floor ... one of my rear brake pads separated from the shoe itself from rust jacking ... they are the original pads ... I purchased the rear pads fully intending on replacing them six months ago ...but... life gets in the way...luckily it failed in the driveway.... lesson learned ... just get er done!
