Blah blah blah until I fast-forwarded to the actual cruise control portion. I do agree that switch was poorly designed and located. Cadillac started with that style wiper switch in 1957. As for the cruise engaging by "mistake"... um no... the only way for that to happen is A: the speed of ...

Crime pays!!!

The cartridge was an ElectroVoice (ortophon) moving coil cartridge, hence the high-output transistor preamp. It had removable headshells for 33/45 and 78 cartridges. I had a 6HF1 for way too long and dumped way too much trying to get the phono to sound right. I found one working cartridge and it did...

His career is legendary, even moreso than his dad's. The Marsalis legacy and gift to jazz is uncountable.

Remember "A Chorus Line"... "Dance ten, looks three"... My aunt had a small flower shop in the 70s. She made a silk arrangement and put it in the shop window for maybe $10. It wouldn't sell. My uncle said he'd sell it. Upped the price to $15 and it sold in a day... Part of mercha...

Most likely sold through a Cadillac/Chevy dealership. GM paired chevrolet and Olds with Cadillac to A: bolster traffic and B: to upsell options on the non-cadillac line. Not many Cadillac dealerships could survive without a companion car. There were no buick/Cadillac dealers. GM would have shot them...

Pretty close to the one I have to work on. NO WAY is it worth that. I doubt I'd get 1k for my Fisher.

Theater at North in Scranton. It's a renovated school with apartments and Goodwill hosts fantastic concerts. Of course the suit i wore came from Goodwill too! The Glenn Miller Orchestra travels everywhere. Surely they'll appear near you. Check out their schedule. They are also the curators of all th...

Last night I attended a sold-out concert by the Glenn Miller Orchestra. The arrangements are spot-on to his. Timing, tempo, everything was close-your-eyes and you're listening to an original recording but LIVE. They did the most popular recordings as well as a KILLER rendition of goodmans "Sing...

Didn't ask yet. Want to get it working first. He does have the idler.

Single oval in the center between the removables.

No time to dive into it for awhile. Gary doesn't have the astatic 13t for it.

This just came into my possession. Zenith SFD111 portable from my grandmother's house. I can remember she had the "Oklahoma!", "South Pacific" and "Sound of Music" soundtracks. Last I heard it play was maybe 45 years ago. I honestly thought my uncle threw it out but now...

Likely some custom thing.

Mancini won the first Grammy award for the "Peter Gunn" soundtrack.

We never had ticks when I was a kid. My mom's family has a farm and we'd take in the hay like this week and never feared ticks. I don't even remember the farm dogs having them. Now they're everywhere. First time I found one was maybe 4 years ago after a walk in the woods behind the house. We don't h...

It's horribly hellish in the northeast. Hit 98 here yesterday. I have 2 15k btu window also. If I didn't turn them on at 5 AM, I never could have held the first floor at 75 degrees. By 7 PM when everything was totally baked it crept up to 77 inside. Still over 20 degrees cooler than outside.

Those who don't learn from history...

Billy Durant was one of the worst businessmen of history . He had a terrific idea but almost drove it into the ground in a decade. Had others not taken over, we'd still be driving Packards...

Climate control sensor. It's a resistor that feeds a temperature signal to adjust the air conditioning.

This guy talks too much...

40 bucks is a steal. Hope it finds a home (with room)!

I'd hold out for a Rolls... 2000 or earlier.
