Re: Joey and Rory - Josephine

Being there had to be horrible as it is in all wars. I was too young to go to Viet Nam, but my older brother was there. He won't hardly talk about it. I think about the soldiers in WWII storming the beaches. They knew there was a good chance that they wouldn't make it out alive, but they did it anyw...

Re: New Holland #77 baler

This brings back memories of pitching hay. When you're up in the top part of the barn on a hot day it's really hot. When your bare back accidentally touches the tin roof it'll make you jump really quick.

Re: Only $3920.80 out the door....

That was a lot of money back in 1963. I think it's interesting that someone would buy a car like that with no AC but then again 1963 was a completely different world than what we live in now. I was eight years old when that car was purchased. I did a search and it said the average house cost $19,300...

Re: Magnavox Windsor W/TV - $900 - Lawrenceburg, In.

According to MapQuest Lawrenceburg, In. is about 125 miles from me, but I don't have any room for it. It appears that it is a field coil horn and they usually sell for more than the asking price. They were a high-end item in their day.

Magnavox Windsor W/TV - $900 - Lawrenceburg, In.

This is one that doesn't show up very often especially with a TV. It looks like it has the Stephens horn in it, but they did make some with a permanent magnet in them. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1426034429386385/?ref=browse_tab&referral_code=marketplace_general&referral_story_...

Joey and Rory - Josephine

I'm not posting this to make a statement about either side of the civil war. I just think it's a very touching song that some of you might enjoy.

Re: Both music and media

I miss the old-time Opry stars too. I went there a few times and really enjoyed myself. The sound system was good, the seats were comfortable and it was a very family friendly atmosphere. It was top notch all the way. One time Grandpa Jones was on stage and a guy with a good set of lungs yelled out ...

Re: 30 plus years in the barn!

A friend of mine has a 1974 Barracuda and he had it painted and got it back earlier this year. He said it cost $25,000 to get it painted and I thought that was crazy but maybe it isn't. I thought it looked pretty good before the paint job, and I haven't seen it since, but he says it's almost perfect...

Re: 30 plus years in the barn!

That looks like a really nice car to start with. A Galaxie with a 390 and a 3-speed seems like an odd combination. If I guessed without knowing I would have thought, it would have an automatic transmission. I've always liked the body style of the 1966 Galaxy cars but haven't ever owned one. I though...

Re: VOM - Alaxandria Ky. - $95

$400 was a good chunk of change in 1957. I think it's a very attractive unit and the price is right. It's right below Cincinnati and that would be a long way for you to go. Maybe something will pop up in your neck of the woods.

VOM - Alaxandria Ky. - $95

It says the condition is fair but it doesn't look that bad to me in the pictures. If it wasn't so far away it would be a good one for Bill. ;)

Re: Another Jimmy O is available for sale.

His pieces do look immaculate but considering the prices they should be. I'm sure he starts with really nice pieces before restoring. It's only showing one completed sale but it's showing that he has sold 1.1K items with 100% positive feedback.

Re: Magnavox Large Imperial - Salvisa Ky. - $100

It has the tuning eye and Conquest changer so it is an older model, but not sure of the year. 1960 maybe? Greg, please help. For 100 bucks that is a steal, at least in my thinking. How far is that from you, Danny? And, don't you have one already? That is still my favorite Imperial cabinet. Bill Bil...

That's what I thought too Bill. What's odd is that I'm finding pictures of X930s that appear to be cosmetically different. Maybe people are not labeling them correctly.

Record Player (Zenith?) Greensburg In. $75

This one is not too far south of Indianapolis. It looks like it could possibly be one of Zenith's better models, but the picture is so poor that it's hard to tell for certain what it is. It doesn't look like it's in very good condition but then again with that picture it's hard to tell. It looks to ...
