If my memory is working, doubtful, I believe Elton purchased a soldering station that had a built in solder sucker. I think it came from Harbor Freight, but I could be wrong on that and if I remember correctly it was not a lot of money. Maybe a PM to him will fill in the blanks of my poor memory. Bill

If the suppliers of the two kits have parts, and one has rebuilt SX1050's several times, do either have a schematic or any documentation that might lead you in the right direction? It might be a question to ask either of them.

The VM that I have, model 580 first photo, is waiting restoration. This past year I did get around to refinishing the tops of the speakers, plant/water damage, so it is getting closer to the electronics making it to the bench. Maybe this winter.
