The good news is that they lowered the price. I paid $32 for mine at AES when I redid those record player cabinets. The downside is that water-borne contact cement not only works better, but it's also cheaper. Their ad says this glue won't shrink Tolex. It will the white, particularly the lower-grade (thinner) material. It also wont stick to the outside of the Tolex if you need/want to overlap the material. Contact cement and "gorilla snot" (that yellow spray adhesive you use on weather stripping, name escapes me....) work best. Been there, done that, still have the T-shirt. Don't use the same material on the cabinet you use on the back of the Tolex. The two surfaces will react to each other. You want to use contact cement on the cabinet and spray adhesive on the back of the Tolex. Installing Tolex is a skill set, but you can make an old beat-up heap look like a million bucks with new Tolex. ;) ;)

The latest online ad from Amplified Parts, formerly Antique Elect., offers "Tolex glue" in various quantities.
