Bill was the guy I talked to. He told met he six-digit RCA part number was no good, found another part number. Was going to look for the transformer I needed, that was the last I heard from him. Bill Moyer is the guy in the parts business. Nobody is holding a gun to his head, it's his decision to offer old TV parts. He needs to do better, either fish or cut bait. I am/was very disappointed with the poor service I received at Moyer Electronics.

In their defense, Moyer is not alone when it comes to poor service. Barry Bennett has promised me for three years to send transparencies and manuals for my TV Analyzer. He recently bought and has advertised a large lot of transformers. I asked him if he had a power transformer I needed. He told me he didn't have the time to look for it. Working with Mark Oppat is an exercise in patience as well. I have been emailing Bob Debush about the tubes I need. "Tomorrow", Thursday", "next weekend" are the excuses. Prompt email replies are great, but I also need the parts. I realize we should be grateful that these one-man operations still provide the parts we need. But it is aggravating to get into a project and need a part to finish it, then get the "hoo-rah" by parts suppliers. I'm going to start calling these people out. They need to do better or just quit period.

If you did not speak with Bill Moyer at the Sunbury store, I am not surprised. Kenny and other two at the Pottsville store which is 800-577-6001 is more the "industrial and commercial" equipment they handle as today's bread and butter. Chit chat about vintage electronics is not reciprocated in "potts-vul" as it would certainly be in Sunbury. (not sun-bury or sun-berry but pronounced "sun-bree") Bill Moyer even has a radio collection on display in the store.

Moyers cannot exist just selling vintage parts from a massive inventory. These days, I'm fantastically lucky to have a vintage parts source with a physical presence. After giving the P-ville store a try for an IF transformer, patience was rewarded as they crossed my Admiral number to a JW miller exact replacement, listed for a Westinghouse :roll: . This place is LOADED with parts, like nowhere else I know of but, cross-ref and finding them takes some time.

There were three stores that all shared inventory, Hazleton was closed and all parts absorbed by the remaining locations. CRTs were auctioned as a lot 5 years ago, just to make space in remaining warehouses.
